These "Painted Dogs" should actually be called "Lazy Dogs"
Throughout the live-long day they just laze around in the Sun or in the Shade, whichever they at the moment prefer.
Seeking shade behind a bushel of grass
...or stretched out to full length..
But, when they spy a group of Impala,
and when at the same time they are hungry,
they become very very alert
and group themselves into a most efficient hunting force.
In desperation, the Impala attempt to escape.
In most cases, the dogs will succeed in taking down one of the Imps.
It was getting dark,
the action happened fast and developed at top speed.
That's my excuse for the not too sharp images.
