Another "doozy" of a Story.

How should I tell you this?
It is so silly that it defies description.
Nevertheless, I shall make an effort to convey to you, what a very “high ranking” Catholic Official said during an interview with the Press:

No, no” he replied to a question, “No no, God did not send the Corona Virus to punish a sinful world"!
God sent this Virus to remind mankind that it should improve its way of life.
He is telling us that we should take better care of the planet which he gifted to us.
Not to be so wasteful, not to poison the environment which he created for us.

So, it seems, God sent the Virus to admonish us. Maybe to warn us. But never to punish us.
As a teacher or a well- meaning parent might shake his or her finger at a willful, disobedient child, so the Almighty sends a Virus to kill off several thousands of humans but, and don't ever forget this, not to punish, but to “admonish and warn” the Creation which He “made in His own image”

Could the Almighty not have chosen a different way to make his message clear?

The Christian God has, however, always chosen a brutal, killing, destroying way to “admonish” mankind.

Give a thought to Sodom and Gomorrah. Two neighboring cities, occupied by a sinful people, upon whom He caused Fire and Brimstone to rain until everybody was dead, except for one man, Lot, and his family. Lot's wife, for looking back onto the City which they had just left, was transformed into a block of Salt?

Give a a thought about the time God was dissatisfied with all of His creation and decided to drown the whole lot except for Noah and his family.

Think about the time God went from house to house, killing every Firstborn.

There are innumerable cases where God either did the killing himself or told Moses to kill entire Kingdoms.

And now? What have we now? God sends the Corona Virus to kill thousands so far and “God knows” how many more until this “Plague” is over.

And there is a supposedly well educated man, who tells the world, that God sent this Virus to “admonish and warn us.”

Could God not just have sent a message to everybody on Facebook, or via YouTube for instance or as an apparition in the sky, warning us, instead of coming right off the bat with the heavy Artillery of a Virus?

It seems to me that the Christian God likes to kill, or his “high-ranking” Catholic representative does not know what he is talking about and is dreaming in techni-color.

would laugh it it was not such a sad story.

The virus was made by men
And it was not God who sent it (him)
It wasn't God who told us
Keep the Apres Ski party on running on close to close
Keep on celebrating Carnevale
Keep on having fun at the beach
And over the river the terretory was allready closed, because of the epidemic
The Austrians were still laughing at the stupid Italian people
If you don't believe in God and in the free will of mankind
Why do you then believe in a punishing God
Stories in the AT Bible are symbolic and not true storytelling
So the Kardinal was right

While reading this it did not cross my mind that Bert believes in a punishing God. He did however show how pathetic he was supposedly intelligent men are when trying to link events happening in the world to the will of God. How you were coming to the conclusion that the Kardinal was right is beyond me.

The Kardinal didn't talk about a punishing God
Also I do not belive in a punishing God
The virus is and was made by mankind.
Bert is talking about a punishing God, known through the bible.
But the punishing God was scribed in the Old Testament.
Roman catholics believe in the New Testament and belive in God the savior.
And I believe in free will.
Nobody told us to play party games at Apre Ski parties.
People went on with skiing and holiday....
Bert doesn't belive in a punishing God or even in God.
But he is talking about a punishing God
And I believe he thinks, that the Kardinal isn't right, because his opinion is, that a Kardinal of the Roman church should talk about a punishing God.
But I don't think so
As I said we have the New Testament.
And also the Kardinal talks and believes in God, how he is described in the New Testament.
And it is in our will to stop the virus
