This bridge connects Austria (Upper Austria) with Germany (Bavaria)It was rebuilt, I believe in 1949/50, after the Nazis had blown the old bridge and the railroad bridge down-river, in 1945 (31st April)
At that time, as a 13 year old, I and a friend of mine were caught on the German side when both bridges were blown. We had quite an adventure coming back. The story is much too long to tell here....
