There is one picture, however, which describes life in Europe today accurately:
One of the mandatory shots: The Hofburg
In front of St. Stephen's Cathedral.
The sign above the entrance says:
"The holy portal of compassion
But this pictures describes Europe today:
Amidst the throngs of tourists, not just in front of the Cathedral,
but also patrolling up and down Kaerntner Strasse and The Graben.
"Polizei" with machine guns at the ready.
