Of days, really gone by....

In 1957 we visited Niagara Falls.
That's when Steven saw a lot of "wawa"

The nucleus of my family:
l. to r. Inge, Egbert, Sigurd, Mutter, Irmgard.

The somewhat enlarged family:
l. to r. Hilde (Sigurd's wife) Inge, Mutter, Irmgard,
Alois ( Irmgard's husband) Hugo ( Inge's husband)
and last but not least, my brother Sigurd.

The family just keeps growing:
l. to r. Helmut (Inge's 1st son), Inge, Christa ( Theo's wife)
Alois, Mutter, Hugo, Irmgard.
Lieing on the floor: Theo, (Irmgard's 1st son)
Hermann (in the yellow shirt, Irmgard's 2nd son) Sigurd,
Steven, and Herwig (Inge's 2nd son)

It's the first time i saw sigurd on a photo, before i didn't know him. Sometimes when dad or someone else told stories, Sigurd was a part of it, but that was all i know about him. Its nice to learn about the own family, and its fantastic to see this photos. Thanks!

Well, Babs, your English isn't so bad. In fact, it's quite good. When you wrote this note, you had already seen the picture. Therefore it is not wrong to say that you 'saw' the picture.
I have more pictures of Sigurd and will probably post them in the future. He was a remarkable man. He was not only fun to be with, but he had a heart as big as all outdoors. His first thought always was: 'How will this or that affect other people'...
Also, he always saw the good side of things and held no lasting grudges. He was, in deed, "a good guy."
