Lake Maloja

The last thing you'd expect
is this lovely lake
almost on top of the pass.
Camping,
and boating
are favourite
past times.






Why, I wondered idly,
do I not see any swimmers?

So i slipped
into my bathing trunks

aand went for
a swim...
then i knew.....
the water, glacier-
and mountain spring
fed...
is cooooold....
