Mit Kordula und Gerhild in Feistritz

Kordula, oder Kordi kurz genannt, ist meine Cousine.
Sie ist die Tochter der Schwester meiner Mutter, Tante Elsa.
Kordi ist die lustigste Frau, die ich jemals kannte.
Sie ist von Haus auf witzig und weiss mehr Witze als Hans Moser.
Ich glaube kaum, dass wir zum Lachen aufhoerten.

This is Kordula, or Kordi for short. She is my cousin, the daughter of my mother's sister, Aunt Elsa.
Kordi is the funniest woman I ever knew. She is fundamentaly witty and knows more jokes than Henny Youngman.
I don't believe that we stopped laughing all afternoon.

Das ist Gerhild, Kordis Tochter.
Gerhild unterrichtet English und Italienisch in einem Gymnasium in Linz.
Sie spricht ein ausgezeichnetes Englisch und ich vermute, dass ihr Italienisch ebensogut ist.

This is Gerhild, Kordi's daughter.
Gerhild teaches English and Italian in a highschool in Linz.
She speaks an excellent English and I have no doubt, that her Italian is as good.

Sie ist nicht nur ein ausgezeichneter Kuechenchef,
sondern sie kann auch eine gute Flasche Wein ohne Schwierigkeiten oeffnen.

She is not only an excellent cook,
but she is also able to open a good bottle of Wine without any difficulties.

Jetzt waer es mir lieber, wenn ihr nicht fragtest,
wer dieser korpulente Herr ist mit Kordi.

I would prefer is you did not ask the identity
of this rather corpulent person sitting beside Kordi.
