Canada - Quebec City,

The "Chateau Frontenac"
An Icon of Quebec City, it dominates the skyline

Part of the "Plains of Abraham"
where, in a battle lasting not more than 20 minutes,
the British General Wolf defeated the French forces.
Many brave soldiers of both sides died needlessly.

The Government Building of the Province of Quebec.
( under renovation )

From high on the Upper City, a view over the St. Lawrence river
and the world's largest cruise ship, Queen Mary 2.

Stop Over: Louiseville P.Q.

Between Montreal and Quebec City swe stopped at
Louiseville, a small town in rural Quebec.

We could not decide where to have lunch:
At "La Patate du Centre-Ville" or at "Resto-Bar"

Finally we decided on the Resto-Bar.

The Church in Louiseville.
There are many many many churches
in the Beautiful Province of Quebec.

Canada Vacation - Montreal PQ

One small segment of this wonderful City
as seen from half way up the "Mount Royal".

Bysicles for rent, on the honour system.

Yes, "McDonald's" is amply represented.
It's interesting to note, that the use of the apostrophy
is permitted in this sign.

"Rue Saint Paul"
a pedestrian only zone has some interesting
old stores

Canada Vacation = Basilica Notre Dam

One of the many fabulous churches in Montreal
The Basilica du Notre Dam.
PLEASE VIEW THESE IMAGES IN
THE LARGEST FORMAT POSSIBLE.

The Basilica is very large and very very dark.
Fotography becomes most difficult.
The interior is kept in Blue and Gold

These images were taken with a Din-setting of 3,200.
S. 40 & F3.5

The Main Altar is most impressive
as is the entire Basilica

Canadian Vacation - in Montreal PQ

The "Fleur de Lys"
The Provincial Flag of the Province of Quebec .

You can find us in a very spacious,
luxuriously appointed room on the 19th floor
of the Delta Hotel.

Rue St. Paul, in the Old Quarter of Montreal

We have a window seat in a Bistro.
It's easy there to be "watching all the girls go by"

Canada Vacation - Lunch with Jochimson-Vogdt

Klaus and Ursula Jochimsen-Vogdt invited us
to a scrumptious lunch. It is difficult to imagine
more hospitable friends.

"Lunch for 4"
The table is laden with deliscious food,
enough for 8.

This must be photographed.

Besides this table, fit for Kings, there is the best of Wines.

Canada Vacation - Stratford on Avon, Ontario, Canada

The "Festival Theatre" in Stratford on Avon, Ontario Canada.
A Shakespeare play : As You Like It
the next day: Cole Porter's "Kiss Me Kate"
Two performances of absolute top drawer quality.

Stratford on Avon, Ontario, is a quaint, pretty little town.
The Avon is a bright, wide river, meandering through the town,
giving a home to ducks and swans en masse.

Christin's first "Hot Dog"
Hey, what do you know? She liked it!

On the way to Toronto, via Alora, we visit
and have breakfast at the "Old Mill", beside which the Grand River
thunders through a narrow Chasm.
