Charley sat at the beach in Key West, admiring the Engagement Ring he had just bought for his girlfriend, when a Tern came along, snatched the ring and flew away.
Charley was really mad. He collected a bunch of stones and pitched them at every one of these birds in the hope that he would hit the right one and recover his ring. He tried everything... He looked up and down the beach. He even looked under the rocks.
In other words, Charley "left no Tern un-stoned."
