The Chief of the family has just unearthed
a liquid filled tuber.
Finely shaved it provides much needed liquid.
Besides these tubers, they dug up and presented to us truffels.
We had an entire evening meal consisting of
slightly roasted truffels.
With two stones the Bushmen, or San
still know how to make a fire.
Although I'm sure that nowadays they prefer to use matc hes.
Sitting on the ground, they sing and clapp their hands
while the men dance rhythmically around them.
