Kingston, liegt am Ostende des Ontariosees.
Eine huebsche, interessante Universitaetsstadt (Queens University)
die vor vielen Jahren die Hauptstadt von Canada war.
Es ist dort, wo der "mighty" St. Lawrence Fluss den Ontario See verlaesst, um endlich in der Bay of Fundy
im Atlantischen Ozean zu muenden.

A lovely and interesting University town (Queens University),
she lies at the east end of Lake Ontario and many years ago she was the Capital of Canada.
It is from Kingston that the mighty St. Lawrence river leaves Lake Ontario

Wir fuhren von Kingston (ungefaehr 25 km ) nach Gananoque
wo wir das unten abgebildete Rundfahrtboot nahmen, um die Gegend der 1000 Inseln zu besuchen.

From Kingston we drove to Gananoque from where we took the excursion boat
to view the 1000 Islands.
