Let me show you a small section of Braunau. This is part of the main square (Stadtplatz) with the church steeple peeking out, just in front of Stadtplatz # 22 ...When I was a young boy there were maybe two or three cars on the 'Stadtplatz', one belonged to the doctor, one to a lawyer and one to the owner of the Hotel Post....today you cannot find a parking space for love or money.

When i left Braunau in 1955 about 18000 people lived there. Today they tell me there are about 18.500 inhabitants...quite a growth in 53 years.

It's a lovely town though, clean and friendly....
