This is a translation ?
I have just tried, for the fun of it, to translate this last entry into German.

Fiddler on the Roof
Last night we visited the outdoor theater in Moerbisch, on the Lake Neusiedel.
Fiddler on the Roof, or Natrevka, as it is called here, was on the program.
A stage, almost too large for this somewhat intimate play. But a numerous cast
brought everything into perspective. The voices were in one case great, and in most other cases very good.
We left the car at the hotel in Pogersdorf and took the 1 hour (approximately) ferry ride to Moerbisch, diagonally opposite each other.
All the while it threatened rain and there was lightning and thunder. I was certain that the show would be cancelled, due to rain, but we were lucky. The start of play was delayed for about 30 minutes and then it went on without interruption. Lightning on the horizon, and a few rolls of thunder, almost enhanced this performance.
I am sorry to admit that I left my camera in the hotel and therefore I cannot show you any pictures of a most elaborate, beautiful stage set.
We shall spend the day here, probably swim off the large beach and hope not to overeat from the generous menu of well prepared foods.

The other day I posted some Anagrams here. Just to remind you: An "Anagram" is a word or a sentense, constructed out of the letters of another word or sentense, without a letter added or left over and, what's more, the newly constructed sentense must have some connection to the original.

The Scientists who matter most !
The most influential Newspaper in Canada, the 'Globe and Mail' published the results of a Thomson Reuters ranking of 3200 researchers who have made the most significant impact on science worldwide.
This list shows the top 15 countries in terms of actual numbers of research scientists active within those countries, as well as the number of scientists relative to the number of population.
It is interesting to note that China and Saudi Arabia are included in this listing for the first time.
The USA spends the most of all countries on basic research and the results are quite obvious.
Money, however, is not the sole determining factor in attracting researchers from all over the world to the USA. The spirit of freedom and unfettered research conditions contribute to the migration of many of the scientists to the USA.
